Petrified Forest National Park

Located northeast of Holbrook in north central Arizona, Petrified Forest National Park is the home of a muiti-colored variety of stumps. cross-sections, and fallen trunks that were once living trees but are now colorful rocks. Because of recent rains, flowers were blooming everywhere, especially the golden mariposa lilies, desert evening primroses, and globe mallows.
